The beginning
I don't think I've ever felt comfortable in clothes, which sounds ironic living in the UK and spending most of it layered up for 3 or the 4 seasons. I'm either too hot and uncomfortable, or cold and wrapped up. WASHED really developed during a stressful 'life season' as I call it. When along with some gut health issues, my skin just stopped agreeing with the clothes I wore. The softest, most everyday fabrics started to irritate me. Stripping back to natural fibres helped - but mainstream formulas were simply too much for my skin.
So I went looking: plant-based formulas, scent free, non irritating. It all helped, but I still felt envious when I walked past freshly washed linen. None left the lingering sense of clean I wanted to carry through a room. So I made one that did.
There had to be a kinder way to live in clothes.
Who it's for
When I started asking, I heard similar stories everywhere. Women managing sensitive, reactive skin. Babies and children who needed something they could be comfortable in all day. The same daily discomforts, too often simply just put up with because there was no alternative.
WASHED is built for them, for you, for anyone who washes up a little bit different. A range kind enough for the most delicate, intimate skin, and generous enough for a whole household, so everyone you wash for is cared for as well as you'd care for yourself.
